#PansLegacy – Submission Terms and Conditions

Thank you for helping us celebrate 20 years of Guillermo del Toro’s cinematic masterpiece, Pan’s Labyrinth. We want to hear your heartfelt stories, see your inspired art, and share your memories on the big screen and across our channels.
By submitting a video, you agree to these Submission Guidelines.

Submissions Timeline
• Target Deadline: Please submit your video by July 15, 2026.
• Late Submissions: The submission link will remain active after this date, and late entries may still be considered at our sole discretion.

1. Creative & Content Requirements

To be considered for the campaign, all videos must:
• Be Original Content Only: The video must be your original work, created, owned, and controlled entirely by you. Do not submit videos created by someone else, clips from television programs, commercial movies, or content downloaded from social media.
• Focus on Pan’s Labyrinth: Submissions must feature a human sharing authentic memories or tributes related to the film. This includes, but is not limited to:
o A “story time” about the first time you saw the film and how it impacted you.
o A breakdown of a particular scene or character (like the Faun or the Pale Man) that has stuck with you through the years.
o How Guillermo del Toro’s distinctive storytelling has influenced your own creative perspective or career.
o A showcase of your original artwork created in honor of the film.
• Format & Technical Specs: Videos should be shot horizontally or vertically on a smartphone or professional camera. Please ensure the video has good lighting and good sound. A “talking head” style format is highly encouraged but not strictly required.
• Language: Submissions should be in English or contain English subtitles.
• Third-Party IP & Trademarks: Do not include third-party logos, artwork, brand names, or protected intellectual property unless you have explicit written permission.
Music Restrictions
• No Unlicensed Music: To avoid copyright issues, do not include any commercial music, songs, or third-party sound recordings.
• Acceptable Audio: Videos must either feature no background music or use completely original music that you created yourself and for which you own all rights necessary for our unrestricted use.
Content Guardrails
Submissions must comply with all applicable laws and platform rules. Videos must not contain profane language, hate speech, defamatory text, NSFW (Not Safe for Work) content, obscenity, or otherwise objectionable material.

2. Permissions & Rights Granted

People Appearing in Videos
• If your video features anyone other than yourself, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary permissions from those individuals for their appearance and for our exploitation of the video.
• If any person appearing in the video is a minor, you represent that the minor’s parent or legal guardian has provided all necessary permissions.
Rights Granted to Us
By submitting a video, you irrevocably assign and transfer to us all right, title, and interest in and to the video, including all copyrights and intellectual property rights, throughout the world and for the full duration of those rights.
To the extent any rights cannot legally be assigned under local law, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, fully paid-up, and royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, modify, adapt, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, create derivative works from, publish, transmit, and otherwise exploit the video (in whole or in part) in any manner and in any media now known or later developed. This includes use in advertising, marketing, publicity, promotional, commercial, theatrical re-releases, programming, and general business purposes.
No Compensation & Waiver of Rights
• No Compensation: Video submission is entirely voluntary. You acknowledge and agree that you are not entitled to, and will not receive, any compensation, royalties, residuals, financial participation, credit, attribution, or reimbursement arising from our receipt, modification, distribution, or exploitation of the video.
• Waiver of Approval Rights: You waive any right to inspect, approve, or object to how we use, edit, modify, crop, or distribute your video.
• Waiver of Moral Rights: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive all moral rights, rights of integrity, and rights of attribution in the video.

3. Representations & Warranties

By submitting a video, you represent and warrant that:
1. You are at least 18 years old (or have obtained explicit parental/guardian consent).
2. You personally created the video and own or control all necessary rights to grant the assignments and licenses detailed above.
3. The video does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
4. Our use of the video will not require any payment, clearing of rights, or union/guild fees to any third party.

4. Our Discretion

We reserve the right to accept, reject, edit, modify, remove, publish, or use any video submission in our sole discretion. We are under no obligation to review, select, or utilize any submission.
